AI in Action
This section highlights how I use AI and technology to identify real design challenges and build practical solutions. From developing custom learning tools to streamlining my own workflow, these projects reflect my commitment to purposeful, creative design—using emerging technology not for its own sake, but to make learning experiences more accessible, efficient, and meaningful.
Building an AI-Powered ChatBot for a Rise 360 Course
This project began with a simple problem: learners had to leave the course to interact with an AI assistant, breaking the learning experience. Rather than accepting that as a limitation, I designed and deployed a custom AI-powered chatbot embedded directly inside the Rise 360 course—no login required, no disruption to the learning flow. Using Claude to build the interface, Google Gemini to power the AI, and Netlify to host it, the chatbot was trained on the full course content and can answer curriculum-specific questions, generate exit tickets, create discussion questions, and support educators as a general teaching assistant.

Try it Yourself
Built for Course 1 of Kansas State University's AI microcredential, this chatbot lives directly inside the Articulate Rise 360 course. It serves two purposes: answering curriculum-specific questions and acting as a general teaching assistant for any subject or grade level. Built without a single line of code written by hand.
Try it: ask "What are we doing in Module 3?" or "Create a discussion question on AI bias for 8th grade."
