Hello! I'm Maddie.
I design meaningful, accessible learning experiences with a focus on creativity, technology, and human-centered design. My work blends instructional strategy, visual communication, and the thoughtful use of AI to help learners succeed.
My Story
After teaching middle school social studies, I discovered how much I loved designing learning experiences—creating resources, breaking down complex ideas, and finding thoughtful, creative ways to support learners. What started in my own classroom grew into a deeper interest in instructional design and how intentional design can make learning more meaningful, accessible, and human-centered.
I recently graduated with a Master’s in Educational Technology & Instructional Design from Western Governors University, where I deepened my expertise in adult learning theory, e-learning development, and evidence-based design. Alongside my graduate work, I partnered with Kansas State University on a grant-funded initiative supporting faculty and graduate students as they learn to integrate AI tools into their teaching and learning. In this role, I designed instructional resources and facilitated trainings to help educators use AI in meaningful ways.
I am currently continuing my partnership with Kansas State University to develop an AI microcredential for K–12 educators. In this work, I design e-learning experiences that translate complex ideas about AI into clear, accessible instruction, contribute to the development of a human-centered AI literacy framework, and share this work with educators through presentations and conference sessions.
Whether I’m building instructional media, designing e-learning modules, or supporting educators as they try something new, my goal is always the same: to create learning experiences that feel intuitive, engaging, and supportive. I’m guided by the belief that thoughtful design can reduce friction, build confidence, and make learning more accessible for everyone.
